I had to take my very loved little hamster for a check up and unfortunately subsequently to be put to sleep this week. On both occasions the staff I met, both at reception and the nurses themselves were kind, compassionate and never once made me feel silly or an inconvenience for being a blubbering mess. I am very happy that I chose to come here, the staff made such a sad experience much easier to deal with, thank you all.

Exceptional care and attention. We've been going here for almost 14 years with our dog. From puppy parties to her old age and every single visit and every member of the team has been supportive, kind and helpful. We've had a great service. Our dog had been in very good hands.

We took our old black Labrador who was very poorly to see the vet . The vet ( a lady) checked him over and was very honest but compassionate throughout, she gave us time to process what was best for him and left us alone to say our emotional good byes . She was kind and caring and her love for animals shone through. The professionalism throughout the whole situation was unremarkable. We received a hand written card in the post with some seeds to plant in Dave’s memory. I went along to collect his ashes and there was so many added touches , a glass jar with his fur in and a paw print 🐾. It was a terrible situation but the vet made it easier . Thank you again so much Dave’s family.

All the team are awesome. Darcy is very vocal and they all know her. So I give biscuits to say thanks so they can have a cuppa in peace and quiet when we've left. I cant fault all the staff. I did make them laugh yesterday 6th March saying that it was cheaper to get my car MOT 'done lol 😆 I wouldn't take Darcy anywhere else. Lots of love Darcy and Sarah Griffin

Last Saturday morning, we called as our cat had some difficulty breathing and she was able to be seen promptly the same day. Unfortunately we found out it was very serious and we were explained our options for her, as well as the risks to keep our expectations realistic. We decided to try save her and they were able to perform an operation quickly. She was then transferred to an out of hours practice to be monitored. Sadly, that night we had to say goodbye to our little furball. Myself and my husband are very grateful for all the effort Avon Lodge and Vets Now put into saving our cat and for also being so compassionate when it was bad news. Thanks so much.
