My experience of this practice over the last 25 years has been helpful,caring and very competent and I would recommend it to anyone

Unfortunately I do not feel that our cat Oliver was treated as well as he could have been.There were,as far as I can tell,too many attempts to get blood from him as,after the first 3 attempts,he seemed to be quite distressed.I also feel there were too many people in the room and Oliver is not a people person.I feel that if I or my daughter had held him for the attempts to get blood he would have been calmer.This is not a criticism of any of the staff and there is no way I would take Oliver to any other vet.Also since the appointment he does not appear to have been affected by it.

My dog visited Avon Lodge for the first time today and I am over the moon with the service and care Bec and Jo provided. My dog is a large, nervous rescue, which makes me a nervous owner when in new environments! Firstly, Jo was very friendly and communicative over the phone and made sure the vet was aware of my dog’s triggers and needs. Then on arrival, both Jo and Bec were very warm, friendly and respectful of my dog’s boundaries. As a result, my dog warmed up to Bec faster than I have ever seen with a stranger and was so comfortable and confident in his new surroundings. The service was top-notch and I will be a lot less nervous next time my dog needs to go in. Thank you so much!

Excellent service, so glad we changed to Avon Lodge. They have been amazing and are super cat friendly! They are very caring, informative and spend time explaining things and comforting not only my cat but the me asthe owner! Josie has been amazing and so have reception, I highly recommend them to anyone!! :)

I took my dog in here (arch)as he is not well .he also doesn't like vets but the vet stayed late so arch could be looked at on his own so he didn't get stressed (brilliant) the vet was professional and thoughtful. he's on medication 💊 now so touch wood ,he's getting better
